God’s Calling Us
Text Box: We are a family that seeks to do God’s will in response to His love for us. One of His calling’s on our lives is to help the poor and needy and be a voice for orphans. God stirred our hearts through inspiration of His Word found in Isaiah 58 and James 1:27. He has shown His heart for the poor and needy and orphans putting the desire in our hearts to reach out in His love to them. He started the ministry by opening the door to supporting orphans in India. He supports orphans in being the Father of the fatherless and allows us to come alongside in this work of His love. Isaiah 1:17

  We participated in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse in the winter of 2003.  Our gifts were given to Pastor Patu’s children, seen above in the photo, who live in the Andhra Pradesh region of India.  We put our address and photo in the gift boxes and received a letter from Patu in March 2004 and another in May expressing the desire to continue fellowship.  On July 18th, 2004, I asked him if there were any orphanages around there.  The next day, I got his email stating that there are 20 orphans in his congregation.  He takes care of 10 of them and another pastor takes care of the other 10.  On July 30, 2004,  we began to support the orphans monthly with the small amount that God put on our hearts to give.
