Text Box: Our Growing Family
Text Box: I never would have dreamed that having a big family would be so great. I love being a Mom. It is also the most challenging time of my life. Having a part with God in shaping the hearts and minds of any person is what I love to do. And it is even more special with my own precious children.
Joy turned 5 on Sept. 21st and Jeff took a day off work to make it a special day. They took pennies to the bank and had enough money to buy donuts and have parking for the beach. Joy was born again at age 3. She loves God's Word and is bold in sharing her faith with kids she meets at the park. When she forgets, she is sad, but prays for them. She loves her brothers, and has decided to be content without a baby sister. She is practicing reading and writing, and she is taking swim lessons. She is high energy and looks for ways to make Mommy happy. She loves Text Box: the orphans and to help people in need.
Josiah is our Christmas child, born Christmas day 2003. He had no interest in the Bible or family prayer times until a few months ago. I noticed a change in his heart toward God, but as with Joy, I was not going to push it at such an early age. Well, the next day he brought me a gospel bracelet and asked me about it. The rest is history, and his love for the Bible and his prayers just melt my heart. Josiah is potty trained now. It has been a joy to help him accomplish something he was so afraid of. He is very compassionate and helpful and loves his family and going to church.
And then there is Jeremiah and Jacob. What a pair. They just turned 1. They both are walking. Jeremiah is a fun and fiery go getter who loves to laugh and play. But around strangers, he changes to Mama's boy. Jacob has a quiet and stable personality who loves to cuddle with Mom. Text Box: But when in a new environment, he must explore. Occasionally, they switch roles, momentarily confusing their identities, or should I say, their parents. Jeremiah likes to tickle Jacob, and anyone else he can pin down. Jacob likes to chase Jeremiah around the big chair. They are a great joy to the whole family.
My wife and kids are special gifts from God. I’m thankful for His mercy, grace, and love to me and my family. He faithfully provides for all our needs. I enjoy our times together at the beach, the park, or just hanging out on the lanai. I come home from work and each child wants me to hold them and get my attention. Managing responsibilities is a challenge and we’re still learning to Text Box: Ripple Effects of Interest

Text Box: Family Extending to India
Text Box: We have children we help care for overseas in South Asia too. In giving to Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoebox Ministry, our gifts went to the children of Patu Saida Naik, who happens to be a pastor in India. I discovered he takes care of orphans.

Text Box: In response to God’s calling on our lives, we began giving monthly support. Patu soon started a Christian School for orphans. At a pastor’s conference much later, Hariya Naik (another pastor in the region), upon getting our name from Patu, emailed us about his ministry that includes taking care of orphans too.
Text Box: We began to support them monthly also. God has been faithful to grow these ministries and put it on our heart’s through His Word, prayer, and times of writing to start K.O.R.E. ministry to help care for orphans and encourage others to be involved.
